Behind the Scenes at Ben-Amun: Ben-Amun’s New Year’s Resolutions

Twas the season to be decked in sparkles, and so sparkle we did, but with the ringing out of the old year and the ringing in of the new, our excuse to don silver, gold, and crystal (all at once, and in excess) has come and gone. Sad as we may be that the long planned New Year’s Eve outfit has seen its time in the limelight, our second favorite part of celebrating the New Year is compiling a list of resolutions!

So, as we prepare to take on 2012, we’ve resolved to do the following:

1. Brighten up the work day.

Between the post-holiday slump and the snowless grey of this winter, things around the office can start to look a little bit gloomy. Rather than match our wardrobes with the weather, we’ve decided to bring a little sunshine into the office by testing a trend that’s set to make a splash this spring! Color-blocked brights! 2. Be a successful matchmaker.
Bringing friends together can be very rewarding, so here at Ben-Amun we’ve resolved to do it more often, and the friends we plan to unite just so happen to live in our closets! Although perhaps that punchy floral blouse may have eventually found its way into the waistline of those new python print trousers, mixing bold prints is going to be the best way to prove fashion finesse this spring, and we don’t want to miss the boat! 3. Get more vitamin C.
Staying healthy is a must as we head into the New Year, but peeling oranges and popping Airborne can get pretty old pretty quickly. In 2012 we plan to up our vitamin C levels sans fruit or pharmacy, instead, we’re taking a cue from the Spring/Summer ’12 runways and adding more citrus to our outfits!

4. Have a nautical adventure.
