The New Pretty Princess

Everyone's new obsession here at Ben-Amun is Kate Middleton. I mean, what girl doesn't dream of becoming a princess? And not only is she beautiful, but she has such a great, girly style. Everything she puts on turns into the next big look overnight (ahem, blue Issa dress)!  So when WWD asked some of the greatest designers to sketch up the wedding dress they would like to see Kate Middleton wearing, we were all ecstatic! Lea, one of Ben-Amun's wonderful sales girls, thought it would be cute to choose what jewelry we would pair with Kate Middleton's wedding dress. Below, you will find our dress and jewelry picks for the princess-to-be!

My personal favorite was the Jason Wu sketch. I love that it has a high neckline, making it conservative while maintaining the royal elegance! Since the dress already has so much volume, I would wear it with a simple pair of pearl and crystal stud earrings, like these from Ben-Amun.

Korinne chose this Valentino sketch, thinking that although it is still gorgeous, the chiffon outer layers make it feel young and fresh. To compliment the bare neck and shoulders that this dress offers, Korinne chose to pair the Valentino dress with Ben-Amun's Pearl and Crystal Thin Choker Necklace.

Lea, on the other hand, wants Kate Middleton to don this dress that she herself has been fawning over for more than 2 years! She is obsessed with this Lanvin dress and thinks it would pair well with Ben-Amun Yellow Deco Drop Earrings.

What are your picks?

Little Leah Pays a Visit to the Factory

This is Leah Sima. Today she asked her grandma and grandpa, who happen to be Ben-Amun designer Isaac Manevitz and his wife Regina, if she could come to the jewelry factory.

After a long, grueling day involving pizza, french fries and cookies, Leah decides she wants to play designer and jewelry maker. She shovels through a few beads and settles on these blue and yellow ones.

With only a liiiiiiittle help from grandpa Isaac, they put together the links and make an adorable, yet quite stylish, little bracelet. Check out the finished result! What a lucky girl to have an esteemed jewelry designer as a grandfather!

Baby It's Cold Outside..

The holidays are here! I don’t know about you, but I am always thrilled for this season. It is ‘Christmas in the City’ and all of the lights, holiday-themed windows and ice skating are warming my heart. However, while my heart is warm Jack Frost is doing his best to make the rest of me quite cold. Since December started he has been nipping at my nose and I have bundled up whenever I go outside. It is too bad that Jack has been forcing me to hide my jewelry underneath all my winter accessories.

My good-ole friend Jack Frost

Just because I have to be covered up from head to toe in order to stay warm doesn't mean I can't still accessorize with jewelry as much as possible! And why not be cute and accessorize with crystallized jewelry that reminds me of the icicles and snowflakes that come during the winter?

These Ben-Amun earrings from the Pearl & Crystal Collection remind me of a snowflakes.

Ben-Amun’s Pearl & Crystal earring would look very cute peeking out from underneath my wool winter hat.

This Ben-Amun Pearl &Crystal Antique Brooch made me think of the icicles hanging in the winter

This brooch would be the best piece of jewelry to pin on top of the layers of clothing I have on. It would add a lot of sparkle to my black wool jacket.

Gotta Have It: Cascading Earrings

Now don't throw away your much-cherished chandelier earrings just yet, but it does seem like there is a new trend around town: Cascading Earrings. This morning, WhoWhatWear dedicated a post to the new trend and we've seen the look popping up on celebrities left and right. Ashlee Simpson showed off her new bleach-blonde pixie cut with a pair of vintage Chanel earrings and even designers like Dior and Etro sent models down their runways sporting the look.

Some of our very own Ben-Amun shoulder-grazing earrings have been spotted on celebs as well. Below, Jessica Stroup from the popular series 90210 is wearing the Ben-Amun Long Spiked Earrings.

I, for one, am glad to see a new trend roll in just in time for the holiday season. Here are some of our other earrings so you can steal the style!

I am Thankful for...

It's official- the holiday season has arrived. This means making sure we have exactly the right outfits and jewels to match for all of our upcoming parties, dinners and get-togethers. So what am I thankful for this Thanksgiving? A chance to buy new outfits! Which of my three looks do you like best?

My first look:
dress, nasty gal

I would pair these Ben-Amun teardrop earrings with this black dress from one of my favorite online stores, Nasty Gal. The earrings make the simple black dress look glamorous.

My second look:
dress, Selfridges

This dress is stretchy (very important for the holidays!), yet still extremely chic and interesting. To accentuate the bare arm, I would pair this dress with the Ben-Amun brass cuff.

My third look:
leggings, Creatures of Comfort
My last look is more casual, but in the perfect holiday hue- gold! I would wear a sheer, white t-shirt tucked into these amazing gold leggings by VPL with the Ben-Amun ribbon and chain necklace.

Also, check out Ben-Amun's brand new, launched-today website!!

Get Her Look: AMA 2010 Style

Last nights' American Music Awards boasted an array of glammed-up looks. Some celebs were dressed to impress, while others, well... not so much. What all the looks did have in common was jewelry. Piles of glitzy bangles, shiny chandelier earrings and golden pendants. We did the work for you so that you can steal you stars' favorite looks using Ben-Amun by Isaac Manevitz jewelry!

Jessica Alba added a rougher edge to her simple black dress and pulled back hair with some chunky gold jewelry. These Ben-Amun pieces help you achieve the same look.

Both Pink and Katy Perry rocked sparkly, dangling earrings accented with black stones. Not surprisingly, Ben-Amun has a similar pair in one of the collections!

Keri Hilson accented her plunging neckline with a big gold pendant, like this one from Ben-Amun.

Rhianna wore a revealing lace dress, so to keep the look chic she paired her look with classic hoops. This pair by Ben-Amun also come in gold and gunmetal.

Even Justin Bieber rocked a style you could steal. A military inspired pin, like the above Ben-Amun pieces, secured on a shrunken blazer will add a little flair to any look.

Google Gets Stylish

If you’ve been keeping up with your favorite fashion blogs for the past few days, then you have probably already heard of Boutiques.com, a brand new website launched by Google on Wednesday, that claims to enrich your online shopping experience.

We first learned of Boutiques.com, who hopes to compete with sites like eBay and Amazon, when our stylist friend asked if we would be interested in dressing some of the models in Ben-Amun jewelry for the launch event at Skylight Studios in Soho! Of course, we jumped on the opportunity to be linked to the designers that have already jumped on the Boutiques.com bandwagon such as Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Fendi, and a ton of others.

How great does Ben-Amun look with this Tibi maxi dress?!

The site “that lets you find and discover fashion goods through a collection of boutiques curated by taste-makers - celebrities, stylists, designers, and fashion bloggers,” succeeded in hosting a fabulous launch party attended by stylish celebs who have already created their online boutiques including industry powerhouses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Elisabeth Moss, Anna Paquin and many more.  It’s no surprise that this is already proving to be a huge hit!

Here I am surfing on Boutiques.com, creating my own personal boutique!

A Happy Hello

Hello dear readers! Although I am sure you are all sad to see Emily go, I hope you are excited to see what I have in store for the next months.

Let me introduce myself: My name is Jennifer and I am a self proclaimed fashion fanatic. I am absolutely off-the-wall mad about everything jewelry, clothes and shoes. In fashion, learning the ropes means being familiar with everything your business has to offer. In other words, I get to stare endlessly at hundreds of pieces of Ben-Amun jewelry in all metals, jewels and materials.

I would wear any of Ben-Amun designer Isaac Manevitz’s creations, but like anyone else I have my favorites. I thought I’d share with you a few of my favorite pieces so you can get a better idea of my style.

I love the mesh chain texture of this bracelet. It's very warrior girl meets NYC.

This isn't your ordinary link necklace; this one has major attitude.

The first time I learned of Ben-Amun jewelry was when style muse Kate Moss was photographed in the coin necklace. These earrings seem wearable for day or night, while giving off that same muse-y vibe.

So fans, friends, family, admirers... keep these pieces in mind when you think of me for the holidays.

A Fond Farewell

Today is a big day here at Ben-Amun (for me, at least), because it is my last day! I'm the kind of person who always finds change to be a very bittersweet thing. No matter how exciting the next thing is, I always want to hang onto the old for just a little bit longer. With that in mind, I've written today's post.

As you may know, each morning I sit down and get my 'daily-fashion-rundown' from all my favorite blogs. Today when I was reading up on the news, I kept seeing jewelry in all the strangest places. A shoe clip here, a wedding dress there. It's all jewels and baubles to me!

This all started when I was catching up with A Cup of Jo.
Heart Shoe Clips by Ban.Do

How could I not see the similarity?! It's uncanny! Plus, this Kasbah Cuff is a favorite piece of mine. It comes in necklace form, too. And you can get it with turquoise stones! It's amazing.

The 'big' news of the morning was Prince William's engagement to Kate Middleton. First, I saw a post on Fashionista and then later on Refinery29, both pondering what kind of dress Kate would wear. Of course, I began thinking about what kind of jewelry she would compliment the dress with.

For me, Kate has always been a classic beauty. I think she'll take a modern approach to royal jewels and keep them around, but tone them down. Hey, it's her day to shine anyway!

Today also seemed like the day of holiday gift guides. On DailyCandy, I clicked through '30 Gifts Under $30' and found this!

Brights! They're going to be huge for spring!

Framed is... well... not so much a fashion blog, as it is a guilty pleasure!

I know, I know. These don't really resemble each other... but I'm sure I could wear these fantastic new earrings, while making these delicious treats without a hitch!

So this is it, ladies and gents! Don't worry too much though... I'm sure you'll be hearing from me again, soon enough!
